BLOGGIE ART TOYS & MORE
Official presentation at the ART TOY INVASION 2022 Exhibition (Valencia). This limited edition Bloggie is inspired by the mythical Tamagotchi toy, created by Aki Maita in 1996. Bloggietotchi is the Art Toy Bloggie version with Tamagotchi style.
It was created in 1996 by Aki Maita and commercially distributed by the company Bandai; its name comes from a combination of the Japanese word "tamago" (meaning egg) and the syllable "chi" (Japanese for affection).
WHERE DID THE TAMAGOTCHI ORIGINATE?
Its inventor was Aki Maita, a 31-year-old Japanese woman who worked for Bandai, the company that marketed it in 1996. But before that, she gave Tamagotchi prototypes to 200 teenagers she found on the streets of Tokyo's Shibuya district in exchange for a satisfaction survey.
In the West, the Tamagotchi had an important place in the market until around 2008, although in Spain it ended its era years earlier, in 2004. The peak of these electronic pets was in 1999, when it reached the figure of some 40 million units sold.

It is an eye-catching full-colour piece that together with its stand, which reminds us of Tamagotchi packaging or any Japanese toy, represents the full essence of the toy of our childhood/youth. Japanese inspired graphics mixed with our own Bloggie character.
Its rotating stand allows Exhibition users to see Bloggietotchi in its entirety, as the display makes it impossible to see the back side.
The Display is a reinterpretation of the packaging, where we will find all the information, technical specifications, materials used and graphics where Bandai is Bloggie and the barcode is the date of the exhibition... continuously breathing the Tamagotchi style implemented in Bloggie.
And as a cherry on top, the methacrylate that protects Bloggietotchi and acts as a display case reminds us of the blister that wraps the toy before opening it. A real experience!
With Bloggietotchi™ you will travel to the 90s!!!!
